Multi-attribute sequential decision problem with optimizing and satisficing attributes
نویسنده
چکیده
We deal with the multi-attribute decision problem with sequentially presented decision alternatives. Our decision model is based on the assumption that the decision-maker has a major attribute that must be “optimized” and minor attributes that must be “satisficed”. In the vendor selection problem, for example, the product price could be themajor factor that should be optimized, while the product quality and delivery time could be the minor factors that should satisfy certain aspiration levels. We first derive the optimal selection strategy for the discrete-time case in which one alternative is presented at each time period. The discretetime model is then extended to the continuous-time case in which alternatives are presented sequentially at random times. A numerical example is used to analyze the effects of the satisficing condition and the uncertainty on the optimal selection strategy. © 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Sensitivity Analysis of Simple Additive Weighting Method (SAW): The Results of Change in the Weight of One Attribute on the Final Ranking of Alternatives
Most of data in a multi-attribute decision making (MADM) problem are unstable and changeable, then sensitivity analysis after problem solving can effectively contribute to making accurate decisions. This paper provides a new method for sensitivity analysis of MADM problems so that by using it and changing the weights of attributes, one can determine changes in the final results of a decision ma...

Multiple attributes group decision making (MAGDM) is regarded as the process of determining the best feasible solution by a group of experts or decision makers according to the attributes that represent different effects. In assessing the performance of each alternative with respect to each attribute and the relative importance of the selected attributes, quantitative/qualitative evaluations ar...

Most of data in Multi-attribute decision making (MADM) problems are changeable rather than constant and stable. Therefore, sensitivity analysis after problem solving can effectively contribute to making accurate decisions. In this paper, we offer a new method for sensitivity analysis in multi-attribute decision making problems in which if the weights of one attribute changes, then we can dete...
متن کاملSolving robot selection problem by a new interval-valued hesitant fuzzy multi-attributes group decision method
Selecting the most suitable robot among their wide range of specifications and capabilities is an important issue to perform the hazardous and repetitive jobs. Companies should take into consideration powerful group decision-making (GDM) methods to evaluate the candidates or potential robots versus the selected attributes (criteria). In this study, a new GDM method is proposed by utilizi...

The purpose of this paper is to present the possibility of replacing physical unit cost in transportation or distribution problems by an aggregate coefficient, getting qualitative and subjective considerations involved. The model for constructing aggregate cost is a two stage multiple attribute decision-making problems. In the first stage supply points, demand points and routes of transportatio...
